BTW, map is coming along! :D  I've basically been converting the mess
of spaghetti Javascript (which resulted from my original map being my
first ever piece of Javascript more than one line long) into a relatively
structured, hopefully-easier-to-maintain form.

I've also moved the Javascript out into a separate file which can
live on my server, so it can be maintained separately.  Take a look at
http://web.floof.org/anthrochat/map.html which contains the small amount
of HTML needed to set up the map and pull in the Javascript to make it
do stuff.  Most of the unusual stuff (including the xmlns declarations
and the little chunk of CSS) are, I understand, necessary for the page
to work on various browsers, so you may need to hack around with your
PHP to get all the necessary bits in.

If you put the map onto the web site, pleace don't link it into the rest
of the site just yet; it won't work because the Google Maps key isn't
the right one for the URL on which the map will end up.  Plus it's still
generating lots of debugging output!

I'd guess the map will end up at: http://www.anthrochat.net/servers.php
Let me know if this is correct and I'll get a key for it.  (Or you can
generate a key yourself if you have a google account.)

By the way, this web site points at the default Debian apache page:

  http://anthrochat.net/

It wants to be made an alias for http://www.anthrochat.net/, I think.
(Add a "ServerAlias anthrochat.net" line just below the "ServerName
www.anthrochat.net" line in the vhost section of your apache
configuration.)
