My gosh.. like 11MB of package downloads to install a traceroute
program was a little excessive. :p

Me too. For me, you can send notifications for all of the servers to
my list-subscribed e-mail address and send notifications for lion
only to SMS +13212468208 or 3212468208 at vtext.com (whichever is
easier/less costly for you)
