Certainly.  Fortunately, those situations are easy to discern: they pay 
you.

There are others as well, such as "Here is the proposal you sent us last 
year" or replying to more people then saw the original mail.  "Jenkins, 
this looks good.  Everyone else, this is what he wrote." Hell, even "I 
received this application for a new server, these are my thoughts on 
it." to the list is a valid reason to top-post.

But laziness isn't.

(If this comes out as HTML, I'll be pissed.  I'm pretty sure I managed 
to convince Thunderbird to only use text/plain.)
