Whereas I don't quite feel as strongly as Madame Tixen here, I do feel 
that you're taking this a little too far Simba, at the end of the day 
it's a mailing list between the admins of an IRC network, not between 
those who have perfected the art of elocution :)

I think a better way to do it would be to let people say what they want 
to say it and HOW they say it, but beat them over the head with a rubber 
mallet if they start speaking like kids "omg u r gay? asl?" etc.
