[AC-Admins] Unable to connect - Connection refused

Hi Legolas,
These sorts of problems are almost always due to a piece of hardware or software on your end preventing the connection from going through to our network. From within mIRC, you can verify you're using the right port number by trying "/server irc.anthrochat.net 6667" -- port 6667 is our default port.
If your operating system has a built-in firewall, like Windows XP SP2 does, or if it has additional firewall software like ZoneAlarm, McAfee, or Symmantec, these could also cause problems for you. In addition, if you use a router, some router software may prevent IRC connections on port 6667, so you will want to check that as well.
I hope this helps. In the meantime, we do have webchat enabled on our website (www.anthrochat.net and click the Chat Now link at the top right) and you can try to join the channel #opers for further online assistance.
Thanks, and hope to see you around the network soon,
-BlueOtter

>Message: When I try to connect to Anthrochat on mIRC it gives this error: \'Unable to connect - Connection refused\'. Now it doesn\'t want to connect to any network. I connected to Anthrochat the first time and the next day it just wouldn\'t work. I\'ve been through forums everywhere but I can\'t get it working. I even tried another program - TurboIRC - but it does the same. Could someone please help me...
