Fine by me unless Simba/Harik have some contingency plan or other server in
place they haven't mentioned yet.

Subject: [AC-Admins] Services Update
As you may or not know. The data center that lion and services is
hosted in is no longer owned by Sequiam anymore. The new Biometrx
company that purchased Sequiam's assets is in control of it and is
trying to decide to sell it off to the new company Simba is associated
with or with someone else. In the meantime they have locked access from
the owners of that server, 'cause they have no way of proving who's
server belongs to whom. Also, the company isn't paying for the bandwidth
any longer. So there is no longer uptime guaranteed for the server.
Which means at any point in time the server can go offline, without notice.
In foresight of this, I went ahead and installed Anope on
snowleopard
once again. The databases have been rsync'd from lion at the top of
every hour, so everything is for the most part up to date. Services can
be started back up on snowleopard with just a simple command in my shell
account. However, I feel we should get this done sooner than later. I
will be pretty busy in the next week, which includes moving 620 miles to
Chicago, IL. So I feel maybe we should go ahead and transfer services
over to snowleopard now. So it will be taken care of while I am sure to
be around. Then we don't have to worry about services being off-line for
any extensive period of time.
I can get this taken care of right now, but I wanted to pass this
along
you guys so I can get your opinion on it. What do you think?
