Hi Coli,
As far as I can see from the logs, you did manage to register your nick:
[Aug 01 14:58:43 2009] NickServ: Nick colifox has been requested
[Aug 01 14:58:43 2009] NickServ: sent registration verification code to colifox at hotmail.com
[Aug 01 15:00:29 2009] NickServ: group colifox has been created
[Aug 01 15:00:29 2009] NickServ: 'colifox' registered by ~hazel at cpc2-staf1-0-0-cust351.sol2.cable.ntl.com (e-mail: colifox at hotmail.com)
[Aug 01 15:38:12 2009] ChanServ: Timduru!~timduru at tim.meerkats.org (level 10000) set access level 3 to colifox (group colifox) on channel #fursuittv
(The times are in American, 6 hours slow of BST.)
This shows you (or someone in your name) requesting the nick, then a
couple of minutes later clicking the link in the email which was sent
to colifox at hotmail.com to complete the registration.
The logs don't show you identifying for you nick later on, though, so
perhaps the problem was not that you couldn't register it, but that you
couldn't identify for the nick later?
You should be able to identify for the nick you've registered with a
command like:
/ns identify PASSWORD
replacing PASSWORD with the password you used in your original "/ns
register" command. Or, put your password in your IRC client's connect
password field and you should get automatically identified when you
connect.
Let me know if you still can't get it to work.
Pippin
