      Who told you that?

I think you're confusing the word "server" with "nickname", but
correct me if I'm wrong. There are some channels on the network which
require that you have a registered nickname before you're able to enter
them. In addition, registering your nickname will give you the ability
to "protect" it so that nobody else can use it. If this is your goal,
you need only to utilize the services of the "NickServ" bot.

      When connected to AnthroChat, type:

/nickserv help

... to get a list of commands that you can send to nickserv. To get
more details on specific commands, you can type:

/nickserv help commandname

... replacing "commandname" with one of the listed commands. I'll use
the register command as an example. Typing:

/nickserv help register

... will give you detailed information about how the register command
works. Once you go through the registration process, you only need to
identify yourself to NickServ, using NickServ's identify command, when
you connect to the network. If you don't identify to NickServ for 60
days, your nickname registration will drop.
