I wouldn't have thought we need any more US servers; we have plenty
already.  I'm beginning to wonder if more servers would actually just be
more points-of-failure rather than anything else.  If one server fails,
anyone on it needs to reconnect (and some people connect to individual
server names or addresses which slows that down) and other servers may
need to relink.  Obviously more than 1 is good, but I suspect there's a
break-even point somewhere beyond which the costs outweight the benefits.

Also, the more servers there are, the more silly the network topology
can get if left to sort itself out after splits.
