No it's not "administrative power abuse". I'm talking about
trimming signature lines, mailing list management information, and extra
whitespace out of a reply. I'm talking about moving relevant responses
to be listed directly below relevant quoted material. I'm talking about
*me* doing all of this *for those* who won't do it themselves. I'll be
making things *easier* for those who to continue to be lazy and not
properly format e-mail. I'd be taking those tasks off of those
shoulders so that it doesn't have to be thought about. How is that
making me a villain rather than a hero? It's like you're getting your
own, personal e-mail butler, and not having to pay for it. Laziness can
continue and the list still ends up with a standardized, perfect look
and feel. I really don't get the whole OMG ADMIN ABUSE attitude. It's
not like I'm suggesting that I censor the content of the posts. I'd
just be providing a beautiful, standardized, perfected markup for them.
Also, I didn't actually do anything to the mailing list settings.
The statement was made to test if anyone would go all emo on me instead
of be logical about it. You failed the test with grounded grayscale.
Now I'm filled with worry, doubt, and disappointment since I can't trust
that you'll be someone who I can count on to have logical thought
progression in the future. "Oh cool, we can continue to be lazy" would
have been a correct response. "OMG ADMIN POWER ABUSE HE MUST BE
STOPPED" is an incorrect, illogical, completely ridiculous response.

I'm already putting forth more effort than anyone else would be
willing to, I can assure you. I think I'm getting an ulcer. :p
