Thanks.  Actually it looks like the last time I posted the passwords were
before the current archives start, so there may not be a real problem.

That's fine... as long as I know where is private and where isn't!
Reading unexpectedly that "this list is publicly archived" was worrying
only because I had the impression that it *was* private.  If Google
hasn't found the archives yet (it appears not to have done), I doubt any
of our users can either.  Would it be worth putting a link somewhere so
that they can see?

I just had a look on our web site for the "mission statement" you
mentioned, and that doesn't appear to be there.  Link to that too?
That might be a good place to put a link to the archives.
