     You can use nickserv's help system to familiarize yourself with its 
functions by typing:

/nickserv help

     Specifically for help on the register command, do /nickserv help 
register

     For quick reference, the register command format is as follows:

/nickserv register password e-mail_address

     (replacing "password" with what you want for your password and 
"e-mail_address" with your e-mail address).  Once you do that, services 
will send an e-mail to your account with a confirmation code.  Follow 
the instructions in the e-mail, and your nickname will be registered.  
 From then on, you need only identify yourself with your password when 
you connect to the IRC Network.  The command for that is /nickserv 
identify password

     Most clients allow you to automate that by adding your password to 
the connection information for the server.  It's different for each 
client, so if you need more help with that, let us know.
